Have the police EVER helped you?

I can't think of an instance where I was grateful for a police officer's "service."
I have, however been harassed on multiple occasions, but never as bad as this (border patrol/police)

I'm not sure either side was in the right, but the first video surely inclines me to agree with the pastor.

There are so many problems with that incident. Start with border guard checkpoints, 50 miles from a border. We're getting too accustomed to a police state way of life.

On police brutality, though, do you think there's been a surge, or is it just more visible now that cameras are more prolific? i want to avoid painting all officers with the same broad brush. But it will be hard for the public to do that if each case of police brutality against citizens is not dealt with swiftly and publicly.

Look at this video of an officer kicking the face of a suspect who had surrendered:

If an officer who does something like that is relieved of his post, then i think the system works. If not, then we are confused about the role of police.
