I don't have much background on the site, but it offers NBC content online with less commercials. Thought I would let you guys know.

i think NBC speaheaded it, and FOX got in on the action. i watched it during the beta phase and liked it. Mostly what i liked was the capabilities of the new Flash 9 plugin and how it could play mp4s with h.264 and AAC, even at fullscreen (note: i believe you have to have version 9.0.115.0 or above for this support). Also the HD capabilities under that same platform, if your machine is cutting edge. This is basically NBC telling Apple/iTunes to stuff it.

Anyone had an opportunity to try out the AppleTV?

I was impressed with the quality, though I haven't "wasted" any real time at the site.

I like the concept of apple tv, but would never pay for the peripheral.

I think the future of digital/home entertainment integration is best envisioned (so far) by, dare I say, Microsoft because they took an approach (Media Center, XBOX) that doesn't explicitly require new hardware. *gasp*
